Dr Sharon Allison LAc DAOM is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Originally from Australia she grew up loving horses. Her father bought her her first horse at the age of 8. As a kid she was always the first one waiting at the stable gates ready to say hi to the horses and today it is just the same.
Dr Allison has traveled the world leading hiking, biking, and 4WD tours through China, Vietnam, Alaska and Australia.
She acquired her helicopter pilots license while living in Alaska when living on a fly in fly out property.
As a child her dream was to be an equestion police women however her career led her more towards leading others on a journey. Weather a healing journey to health or a wilderness horse adventure Dr Allison DAOM brings the energy to evolve forward through our personal future stories.
Dr Allison now teaches Daoist philosophy to acupuncture students and combines the Daoist philosophy and the Eponaquest teachings throughout her everyday life with people and horses on wilderness rides. This energetic connection honors the respect and appreciation for what the horses bring to our spirits. With the understanding of the way of the horse, the power of the herd and the 5 roles of the master herder we can observe horses in a way that we work with their natural behaviors.
A free spirit herself she likes nothing better than to be in the wilderness on horseback riding with friends new and old. Every adventure is different and she will share her travel stories and will listen to yours.
Having spent the last 10 years in Oregon Dr Allison DAOM is so excited to offer you this experience that is like no other in Central Oregon.
A native Oregonian, Dr. Vencil Overland, DC who, born and raised in Cottage Grove, OR, grew up exploring the back country of the Cascades. It is a natural progression that he is now a licensed guide in the state of Oregon. He loves to share his local knowledge of the area and is thrilled to stoke people out on what central Oregon has to offer
Dr. Overland DC moved to Bend 15 years ago to take advantage of the healthy living environment and the beauty and splendor of central Oregon. He is an avid fly fisherman, loves his horses, is a professional ski instructor for the last 10 years at Mt. Bachelor and enjoys surfing, canoeing and kayaking, as well as paddle boarding on the local rivers and lake
Dr. Overland DC states that, “riding my horse through the forests and along the many trails in the area gets me closer to nature in a way that can’t be done or seen otherwise. We are blessed to have so many riding options to enjoy the pine forests, mountain lakes and alpine wildflower meadows as well as the local volcanic geology of the area.” He states that many people have lost touch with the wonder of nature that surrounds them and hopes that Wilderness Horse Adventures can bridge that gap to assist them in reconnecting to their natural spirit of fun and adventure.
Along with his Professional Ski Instructor of America credentials, Dr. Overland DC is a licensed Chiropractor in Oregon. He has also led guided kayaking and canoe tours of the Deschutes river and the high lakes and has taught paddle boarding which has become so popular here in central Oregon.
Dr. Overland DC will also show some of his local trout streams in the area. He states that he feels at home showing people and exploring the amazing experiences the central has to offer.
